Palisade, CO Posts: 65 | God you guys are smart. This is some really fascinating stuff. And Dubbn, I know exactly what you're talking about. I duck hunt off the island to the north of that Bridge. Since I live in Palisade, Silt is much easier access for me, but doesn't that stretch of the Colorado only really fish well between October and March? Just what I've heard.
...but fishermen I have noticed, they don't care if I'm rich or poor, wearing robes or waders, all they care about is the fish, the river, and the game we play. For fishermen, the only virtues are patience, tolerance, and humility. I like this.

Colorado Posts: 47 | WestCo, they are there year round, in that section. They get easyer to catch in the winter as they congregate in that deeper run in the Winter. Theres alot more access to that river if you are willing to explore a little. That being said, I still prefer the Colorado above Glenwood. Also, it's tough to beat the Frying Pan on a weekday. Good luck sir, Wayne

Palisade, CO Posts: 65 | Do you live around Grand Junction? I personally don't ever fish the mysis shrimp because I don't get that close to the dam. Its just not my preferred kind of fishing. But it would be fun to share patterns.
