If it's from N. California, you can probably forget Platycentropus. It's likely either Limnephilus or the other (probably Limnephilini tribe) Limnephilid genus, which LaFontaine said build similar cases. And no, I don't know which genus he meant. Perhaps someone else will. That's what I just love about this forum.
